Problem questions involving formation issues are frequently seen in A-level law exams for all of the main exam boards.

The exact moment of contract formation is important to establish, as it is from this point onwards that both parties are bound by the terms of the contractual agreement.After this, any refusal to perform the agreed terms can lead to claims for breach of contract, either anticipatory or actual, and subsequently result in a potential order of damages and termination of a contract.
