I didn’t plan to be a teacher. When I was at school I could not imagine wanting to stand up in front of a room of teenagers, never mind holding their attention for long enough to teach. I didn’t have a career in mind when I left school. I simply made decisions based on what I was interested in and what I was good at. In the end this led me to a career as a biology teacher, a job that I really enjoy.
