Most people have heard of Down’s syndrome and know that it is a chromosomal condition. But if you ask people about other chromosomal conditions, for example Klinefelter’s syndrome, few people know much about it, or have even heard of it. What is it about Down’s syndrome that has caught the public eye? This Interface explores the history of Down’s syndrome, from first descriptions of the condition to the testing available to detect it, through to current attitudes towards individuals who have Down’s syndrome.
