By 2020, the demand for inside toilets in the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India and China) is set to increase by 115%, the demand for kitchen sinks by 130% and the demand for washing machines by 230%.

While this demonstrates an increase in living standards, it also represents a huge opportunity for businesses that sell domestic household goods. As consumers’ disposable incomes increase on a global scale, the demand for these goods is set to increase substantially.
