Government intervention to correct market failure does not always have the intended effects. In this column, I will focus on the ways in which the government intervenes.

In his article on pp. 18–21, Robert Nutter discussed electric car subsidies as an example of government failure. Here, I will explore the foreseeable problems with government intervention in the market.
