Even just a few years ago, if we wanted to order a taxi, we would have to find a taxi rank or call the local company and let them know the address to pick us up from. Similarly, to order takeaway, wewould ring a local restaurant and one of their employees would then deliver the food or we would go ourselves to pick it up. Now, we have companies like Uber and Deliveroo, which know where we are and through which we can order a taxi or takeaway to our doors with just a few taps on an app.
