The Internet History Sourcebooks project

This extensive collection (http://legacy.fordham.edu/Halsall) is home to hundreds of historical sources from across the world, cleanly formatted for use in the classroom or by students in their extended projects

This website is both a repository and directory, hosting and linking to both primary and secondary sources from across the web. Begun in 1996 as a collection of medieval documents, the sourcebooks now hold everything from the prehistoric to the twentyfirst century. The materials are sorted into three main sourcebooks — ancient, medieval and modern — as well as into a number of geographical and thematic collections, such as Byzantine, global and LGBT history.

The website has one central search box, located at the top right of each page. Entering keywords here will search all the collections at once. However, because most pages are entitled ‘Internet History Sourcebooks’, you will have to look at the descriptions and click on the different links to see which is the most relevant.
