Stability

Stability means being able to maintain a balanced position, or the ability of the body to resist motion and remain at rest. The body’s centre of mass is the point of balance. Manipulating the position of the centre of mass can increase or decrease stability. All sports require good balance to eliminate errors, e.g. kicking a football when you are not in a balanced position results in an inaccurate pass or shot.
