Solution and notes

I am not at all surprised at the enduring popularity of this television character and series. Many of the world’s great, modern scientists have enjoyed science fiction stories. Some, such as the famous astronomer Fred Hoyle, have even been acclaimed writers of the genre, and Carl Sagan particularly enjoyed reading such books.

It is because people have dreamed, that humanity has come such a long way scientifically. People have flown through the air, walked on the moon, seen cross-sections through the human body without destroying it, designed molecules to combat disease, produced new particles in colliders…all these would once have seemed as impossible as much science fiction seems today. Don’t stop dreaming.
