IR You are the shadow chief secretary to the Treasury. Can you tell us a little about your role?

RR My job as shadow chief secretary has a few different aspects. One is to scrutinise the government’s economic policy and the budget. I am especially focused on issues to do with how government spends public money, ensuring the tax-payer gets good value.
