The nature–nurture debate today

Who is the smartest person in your class? Is it the girl who sits in the front row and asks the most questions? Is it you? Take a moment to think about how intelligence differs between you and your classmates. Cognitive ability is a subject of great interest to scientists today. Not only do we want to understand what intelligence is, but we want to understand where it comes from and whether it can be improved.

The nature–nurture debate is all about finding the source of what makes us similar and different.
