On television, beautiful and handsome police investigators solve crimes by conducting high-tech analysis of blood stains, spent bullet cartridges and fingerprints — but that is television. In real life, ordinary-looking police detectives solve crimes by asking eyewitnesses ‘What happened?’ Unfortunately, eyewitnesses often do not provide enough information for the police to solve the crime.
