A common way to examine research methods is to give students a description of a study and then ask questions on research methods that were used. So here is an interesting study, followed by some exam-style questions with comments on how they would be marked.

Most pet owners know that pets bring joy, but many people remain unaware of the physical and mental benefits. A recent study (Mota-Pereira and Fonte 2018) considered the impact on depression of adopting a pet.
