Prepare for a voyage into the world of modern brain research. Tens of thousands of research papers in neuroscience are published worldwide over the course of a year. Often exciting, ground-breaking and stimulating, much of this research develops the methodologies and findings of previous studies in an attempt to answer important questions within the area or field. This article will look at three studies: the first is concerned with the effects of early institutional deprivation on the brain, the second on semantic representation in the brain and the final one on the role of sleep in brain cleaning.
