We will look at student responses to a 6-mark application question and one application essay.

Marley has been diagnosed with depression. He often thinks about his exams in school as he really wants to do well. He recently did badly in one test because he had revised the wrong topic by mistake. He has thoughts such as ‘I’m a failure at everything’ and ‘I must get top marks in my assessments’. This can interfere with his ability to do his school work which then makes him feel even worse.
