Rashi, Judah Halevi and Moses Maimonides were the great Jewish medieval philosophers, whose views have strongly influenced Judaism to this day. Here Gordon Reid examines their teachings.

Rashi was the most famous Jewish biblical commentator of medieval times, best remembered for writing his great commentary on the Hebrew Bible — a book written in simple language, explaining everything, yet using the fewest possible words. In this way, Rashi opened up the scriptures to all people, not just scholars.
