Eko Atlantic City in Lagos, Nigeria, is being built on land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean and aims to be the new financial centre of Nigeria and west Africa.

Lagos is a megacity on the southwest coast of Nigeria. It is the largest city not only in Nigeria but also the whole of Africa. It is a major financial centre and an important seaport, which originally developed on a series of islands.
