Managed realignment in east Devon

The predicted rise in sea level will cause flooding along the UK coastline. At the mouth of the River Otter in east Devon, an environmentally friendly scheme of ‘managed realignment’ is being established, at less cost than 'holding the line' with hard landscaping such as sea walls.
