Ladybird, ladybird, fly away home

This article focuses on one particular invasive alien species: the harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis), the fastest-spreading invasive insect in Europe. We explain how we have used public participation and online recording to track its spread, and how we are studying its ecology and potential control.
