AQA BUSS4 Section A pre-release

With the Section A pre-release for June 2015 coming any day now, you need to understand what the BUSS4 exam requires and how to approach it

Huawei’s UK headquarters

The BUSS4 paper is made up of two sections. Section A will feature a choice of two questions based on the pre-release topic and will be directly linked to the six bullet points that accompany the topic. These will require you to prepare and research a whole range of examples that you can utilise in the exam hall. Unlike in other subjects, you are not allowed to bring notes into the exam hall, therefore you need examples that can be easily recalled and are pertinent to the pre-release theme.

The pre-release is intended to prepare you for further education. The key skill required is to know how to research and select appropriate information that is both relevant and useful. The examiners are not interested in a series of facts and figures about particular companies — you need to show evidence of independent research and use this to bring in examples that compare and contrast. Use industries that interest you as a starting point for your research. This way, you are more likely to be motivated and engage with the research, and come up with more memorable and useful examples.
