Ashley Lait interviews Professor Matthias Klaes, research director with the European Crowdfunding Network. Matthias works closely with the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience at the University of Dundee. He is serving president of the Scottish Economic Society and a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, with a longstanding interest in FinTech and alternative finance. He has published widely and is author of An Introduction to Behavioural Economics, now in its third edition
AL Where did you first encounter or study economics?
MK At the University of Darmstadt, as part of a dual-honours degree in engineering and economics, continuing my studies in Paris, Amsterdam and Edinburgh.
