Interview with triathlete Jo Sutton

Andy Wrathall interviews Jo Sutton, a GB age-grade triathlete, who is trying to balance her triathlon training and competing with her job as a full-time vet. Her ambition is to compete for the open age-group Great Britain triathlon team

AW How did you become interested in competing in triathlon?

JS I had always been into running while at school and university and then I just wanted to do a bit more than running, something that was still an endurance sport but that included running. A friend of mine had tried a triathlon and I just thought I’d give it a go. I had swum at school as well, so the only thing I hadn’t done was any road cycling and it just really fitted the bill for what I wanted when trying to keep fit.
