Activity Alliance

Activity Alliance is the operating name for the English Federation of Disability Sport. Established as a national charity in 1998, it is the leading voice for disabled people in sport and physical activity, with the purpose of achieving fairness for all disabled participants. Activity Alliance aims to lead organisational improvements and change attitudes in order to ‘unlock’ sport and activity for disabled people (see www.activityalliance.org.uk/how-wehelp/resources for practical ideas and information on how to achieve this in practice).

To achieve positive change in practices and attitudes, Activity Alliance works with a range of local and national partners to increase opportunities for disabled people, e.g. Sport England, sporting national governing bodies and the eight national disability sport organisations (NDSOs, see Box 1).
