What do Frank Lampard and Clint Hill have in common? They are both professional footballers plying their trade in English football — and they have both been victims of poor officiating at crucial moments of matches, being denied clear goals for their teams.

Lampard was denied a goal while playing for England against Germany in the 2010 World Cup. Hill’s denial came when he was playing for Queen’s Park Rangers against Bolton Wanderers in the 2012/13 Premier League.
