When you are sitting in class studying for your own psychology qualification, do you ever wonder what credentials your psychology teacher has? It is actually quite a difficult process to become a psychology teacher. There are a number of different ways to become qualified to teach psychology.

The majority of psychology teachers have a first degree in psychology. They then study how to teach the subject via a course called a post graduate certificate of education (PGCE). This is a 1-year full-time course, completed after your undergraduate 3-year degree.
