Elizabeth Loftus has had a unique career as one of the foremost psychologists of her generation and is listed as the most wellknown female psychologist ever. She has received numerous awards, including the William James Fellow Award from the American Psychological Society, 2001 for ‘ingeniously and rigorously designed research studies…that yielded clear objective evidence on difficult and controversial questions’. She is currently distinguished professor at the University of California, Irvine.
