Sport psychotherapist

Cara Lea Moseley talks us through her day-to-day work life

Cara Lea Moseley

My full-time job is as director of Mind In Sport Limited. The majority of my daily work involves one-to-one therapeutic sessions or group work with clients who are either referred through their club or privately. In order to do this work I am a fully trained cognitive behavioural therapist (see the article by Louise McCusker on ‘CBT in clinical practice’ on page 25).

Predominantly, our clients are based within high-performance sport. We work closely with a number of Premiership and Championship football teams as well as rugby league teams, and National Governing Bodies through the UK.
