A new edition of the classic book Themes, Issues and Debates in Psychology by Richard Gross has been published. In this article Richard gives you some examples of synopticity from his book

Synopticity (or synoptic assessment) can be thought of as ‘bringing it all together’, ‘drawing in the threads’, ‘psychology-wide matters and concerns’, ‘common, underlying themes, issues and debates’, ‘giving a broad view of the topic’ (Humphreys 2013).

So, what are the threads that run through the whole of psychology?
