Ashtead skate park

The grand opening of Ashtead skate park took place in March 2009. Although there had been some doubts expressed beforehand, it has been very well received, especially by young people.

The £80,000 project was managed by the Ashtead Skate Park Partnership, comprising county and district councillors, residents and skaters. The partnership funded the project by raising money from the Mole Valley District Council and various youth award schemes. Surrey County Council also contributed £6,500 to install CCTV.
