This photograph shows some of the ‘Supertrees’ in Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. There are 18 of these metal structures, some as high as 50 metres tall, two of which are linked by an aerial walkway which you can also see in the photograph. Every evening the Supertrees are illuminated as part of a sound and light show, but they look stunning both night and day.

The Gardens by the Bay is a large park and garden covering over 100 hectares around Singapore’s Marina Bay, which opened in 2012. It is a popular tourist attraction, having welcomed over 50 million visitors by 2018. As well as the Supertrees there are hundreds of natural trees and flowers, and the world’s largest greenhouse, called the Flower Dome.
