The value of A-level law

Two law students talk about how A-level law helped them at degree level.

Ingram

Choosing a degree can be difficult. You need to choose — in the majority of cases — one subject that will maintain your interest and enthusiasm for at least 3 years. Naturally you will be drawn to the subjects you studied at A-level; they are the ones fresh in your mind that you have the most knowledge and insight into, and many degrees require a certain grade at A-level in order to step up to university level. Law is not one of those subjects — it is a traditional, respected degree that requires no prior knowledge at all.

But how can you choose to study it day in day out without any prior knowledge or experience of the subject? Or even be sure that you will enjoy it for 3 years? How do you know you have the skills necessary to take the subject or even know what those skills are?
